This was my last ever show on WSUM. It’s so bittersweet. I’m sad to be done, but sort of happy to leave, I’ll admit. It was a good show, though, I think, and hopefully soon I’ll have some links to old shows posted so you can listen until I get going in Chicago. New Albums

I'm reviewing some CDs for WSUM right now. If you get a chance, tune in tonight for a special Friday version of Dead Air Um Dead Air. I'll be on in the regular timeslot, 6-8pm, just doing an extra show.

So far I've reviewed the new Tilly and the Wall, Bottoms of Barrels. It's really good, although a little bit Bright Eyes-y. On a few songs, there's a definite Bright Eyes kind of vibe, which isn't too weird considering they're pretty closely connected/incestuous, but still. It's a good record though, for real. I love "Bad Education" and "The Freest Man" (you won't hear that one on my show, what with the swear words and all), and the rest is good too. It comes out on Tuesday, so you should buy it. Don't download it, they're a good band and so so nice. Support Tilly!

Right now I'm listening to the soundtrack for A Prairie Home Companion. On the one hand, I really like it - it plays a lot like an episode of PHC, although with no skits. I haven't gotten all the way through it yet, but there might be a Guy Noir sketch at the end. I doubt it though. One good thing about it - Lindsay Lohan only has one song (not counting the one by "the Cast"). I think I'll probably stick to listening to PHC on NPR, and I doubt I'll see the movie. I have rules you know. And one of them is I don't see Lindsay Lohan movies in the theater, now that she's, you know... "LiLo" and stuff.
